Meet Dr. Regina M. Daigre of Daigre Educational Teams in Fayetteville

Today we’d like to introduce you to Dr. Regina M. Daigre.

Dr. Daigre, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As far as I can remember, I’ve always had a passion for business. I enjoy interacting with people and finding solutions to their problems. When things don’t work, I like to get it fixed. And, quickly. One thing that I wanted to fix in my life was poverty. I grew up in a rural area where opportunities for growth were nil. The most exciting thing for me during my adolescent years was school. So, I delved into my education to plow my way literally from a farm life to living in a metropolitan area, like Atlanta. My childhood life was not without problems. My parents died within six years apart, which left me on my own at the age of 17. I managed to graduate from college in Business Education while working three jobs carrying eighteen semester hours. After graduation, I started graduate school but dropped out to pursue full-time employment. After working a few years, I married my husband, Sean, Sr., and continued my education to earn a Master’s degree in Computer Science, a Specialist in Educational Technology, and a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership. I’ve had the opportunity to teach at Southern University A&M College, Baton Rouge Community College, East Baton Rouge Parish Schools, Cobb County School System, Henry County Schools, and online with Strayer University and South University.

While in education, I began to conduct personality and temperament assessments to help group my students when doing projects. I enjoyed learning the personality and temperament styles of my students. It enabled me to diversify the groups based on objective information rather than subjective analysis. The assessments had a great impact on my instruction. Later, I decided to learn more and became a Keirsey Certified Temperament Professional.

After working in education for several years, I decided to start my own business. Initially, I used my technology skills to solve problems for small businesses. Then, one day a client had an issue with an employee and requested my assistance. I had been quietly working on a product that I now call the Job Fit Probability (JFP). The Job Fit Probability was created to help hiring managers fit the right person with the right job. Using my educational and technological background, I created a battery of assessments for potential candidates that would enable the hiring manager to make a more objective decision when hiring. The Job Fit Probability enables the manager to see what’s beneath the surface, which is not readily apparent on artifacts like the cover letter, application, and resume. This one creation led Daigre Educational Teams (DETSUCCESS) to become a business education company specializing in training and development to help people reach their goals in a short period of time. In 2017, I became an Authorized Partner with Everything DiSC, an Everything DiSC Certified Trainer, and an Authorized Partner for The Five Behaviors of a Cohesive Team (all Wiley Brands) to strengthen my assessments of workplace culture analysis.

Today, Daigre Educational Teams has branded Workforce DNA cultural solutions to include the Job Fit Probability, Workforce Success, Management Success, and Leadership Success. We also offer a 12-month organizational workbook, Uncover Money-saving Tax Deductibles® a Daigre Educational Teams Brand, for the limited liability company, sole proprietors, and self-employed to help them maximize deductibles while saving time and money. In addition, clients can take online courses at ACHEVE University, the online training platform for Daigre Educational Teams.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Most of what I do is intellectual work, which is not always visible. The greatest challenge has been marketing a product that has been virtually invisible. The Workforce DNA solutions are products and services that you have to utilize to experience the full benefit of them.

Another challenge has been discovering the market that will benefit from the products and services. Our workforce solutions help people to understand themselves, develop a respect for others, and become more effective in work and life. They are cultural changing tools that can make an immediate difference among the workforce.

Please tell us about Daigre Educational Teams, LLC.
Our world revolves around people who are fundamentally different. They are multifaceted gifted with preferences and priorities that shape the workforce. To ensure this workforce functions as a well-oiled machine, we believe understanding yourself is key to connecting with others. And, connecting with others is key to continuous success. We conclude it’s imperative that we understand who we are before we can successfully impact the lives of others. That’s why at Daigre Educational Teams, we focus on the human side of the Workforce DNA, the “distinctive natural attributes®”, that makes up the workplace culture.

Our workforce solutions help people to understand themselves, develop a respect for others, and become more effective in the workplace.

We accomplish this by developing individuals to build stronger workplace communities; developing managers to build stronger workplace teams; and developing leaders to build stronger global infrastructures.

We serve both for-profit and non-profit organizations with a primary interest that focuses on building the human side of teams, management, and leadership through research-based culture analysis solutions.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
You know, it’s hard to undo a rung bell. Although the road has been bumpy, I have learned from my experiences. There are some situations in business you can’t plan for but it’s crucial to be flexible and adaptable. It’s even more crucial to try to understand the perspectives of others and how their views impact what you do in business. Interpersonal effectiveness is needed internally and externally in business. I’ve learned that business solutions must be focused. Instead of trying to do everything, focus on what you do easily that others find to be a struggle. I’ve learned that to succeed in business one must become intentionally focused on helping others find ways to solve problems for their needs and desires.

Instead of starting over and doing things differently, I have taken my experiences, both good and bad, and mixed them together like ingredients for a delicious Creole gumbo. Individually, the roux for the gumbo doesn’t taste good, but when it’s blended with the other ingredients, you have an authentic Creole cuisine. I’ve blended my good and bad work and life experiences to create my lifelong mission, which is to “live a principle-centered life to inspire people to use their “distinctive natural attributes®” to become difference-makers in work and life”.
