Today we’d like to introduce you to Tenisha’Katreese Gray.
Tenisha’Katreese, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
As a child around the age of five I was introduced to hair by my mother who had been passionate in this field almost 13 years at the time… growing up I surrounded by hair and how to conduct myself as a stylist. Now 21, the stamina and determination I have, only God knows what I could be soon!!
I studied and was trained to perfect my craft everyday and is so today. Each and everyday I am learning new material, at the rate, I’m going & with that faith I have, all things are possible and I will not stop for no one or not one thing. Though my heart is in the Hair industry, I am the owner of my up and coming hair care Line “RawLuxure” which will be offering extensions, hair restoration treatments, edge controls, stimulant oils, eyelash extensions & accessories. Also, I have an organization called “N.A.V.A.S UNITED” which is serviced to those who are in need of guidance & support of all abuse issues like Domestic Violence, Suicide, and Self Harm just to name a few.
Through past experiences, that lead me to writing a Self-help Guide as well. Which will be released Summer 2019. All while managing catching these two degrees in Psychology & Sociology at the Clayton State University! Through everything I have done & went through I have always told myself if I lose faith, I lose God, so I tell everyone around me. Never lose faith. You lose faith, you lose God & with God, I am most powerful.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
I had to take a year off from school, pushing back the goals I need to achieve.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Teethehairguru_ – what should we know?
RawLuxure is something I’ve been working on for the past three years now, it is a Natural & Weave hair care line that offers hair extensions, edge control, restoration treatments, stimulant oils, & accessories.
As a stylist, I specialize in braids and Natural Hair.
I am most proud of how far I’ve come & how fast my business is flourishing!
What sets me apart from others is, anything and everything I do is done with love & I believe in myself. Everything I am is my business. I won’t give up on myself or get discourage myself when times get hard. Any person I encounter I always make sure my best self is pushed forward.

My bestfriends/sisters Chateria & Autumn who’s been there with me for all my high’s and low’s and who has all the great ideas I can use & who’s my go-to models when I have a new style I wanna try! And the main two who’s always pushing me to my limits.
My grandmother Betty & Great-Grandmother Edith who also never let me lose my faith. EVER! And my mother who’s all of me, the reason I am who I am today… Mommie I love you, & I appreciate you. I may not show it sometimes but I am most thankful for you. Being a teen single mother, you are my superwoman. You made me feel the love of two parents with your one heart. Thank you!
