Today we’d like to introduce you to Kendra Farmer.
Kendra, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started doing hair when I was 15 in my mom’s garage. I’ve always loved doing hair. Hair is my passion. I love making people feel beautiful. In Spring 2016, I decided to pursue my career as a licensed cosmetologist. I started school at West Georgia Technical College. The road wasn’t easy at all. It was hard trying to juggle a Full-time job and going to school Full Time but I made it. I graduated from West Georgia Technical college in Spring 2017. Upon graduation, my clientele had tripled and I was still working my full-time job. I made a decision to trust God and step out on faith. I quit my full-time job and opened Sew Lavish Hair and Beauty Lounge which is located in Newnan, GA.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Styles By K.Farmer – what should we know?
I do everything from Braids to Natural Hair. I specialize in Braids and Sew-Ins.
What set me apart from others? Passion. Simply put, it’s passion. Not alone though, the drive for perfection. As unattainable as perfection is defined, I will always strive for it…. Also I focus on meeting not only my clients’ needs, but their wants, too.

My work ethic. My personality. My attitude.
