Meet Myles Fulton of Ramzie in Midtown

Today we’d like to introduce you to Myles Fulton.

Myles, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I grew up in Monroe, GA. I Lived in a single parent household for the majority of my youth. I started, seriously, making music at the end of 2017 and have been working consistently toward bettering myself and my music; this includes long nights, ample frustration, and a good bit doubt, but also a good bit of reward. I have since released 28 songs, 17 of which are on major streaming platforms at the time of this interview, two music videos, one music-related visual project, collaborated with several artists, I am in the process of getting merch to the masses, and plan to perform on several occasions following the release of this interview. I am always eager to progress (level up) in my career and expand my horizons by working with different artists with whom can draw out different ideas, flows, and styles from me in order to make beautiful music.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As an artist that produces, mixes, masters, and, primarily, promotes his own music there have been times where I frustrate myself, overmix, undermix, doubt myself, see that people don’t listen when they say they would, and wonder if this frustration is actually worth it. I’ve been ignored and discarded as “another Atlanta rapper,” when that’s never been the goal or the aesthetic of my music at all. I don’t doubt that there will be more obstacles in the future, but I don’t plan on folding for any of them.

Please tell us about Ramzie.
I am a music artist. I don’t say rapper because I do more than just rap, but I do take pride in being able to execute different flows. I’m different because I’m different and I don’t really have much else to say about it. I like to show it more so with my actions than with words.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I wouldn’t change a thing. My journey isn’t even over yet and I’m looking forward to seeing it through. Maybe in the future, I’d have something to tell my past self, but by then I’ll still be in a place that I’m proud of and will STILL be looking toward the future.
