Today we’d like to introduce you to NiCalé Cruz.
NiCalé (pronounced knee-sah-lay) is one of the nation’s top independent entertainment booking agents, whose roster includes trending indie and celebrity artists, Grammy award-winning music producers, Entertainers, multi-million dollar movie actors and film directors.
Before becoming a booking agent, NiCalé worked in the entertainment industry as executive management in marketing and public relations, in which she successfully assisted growing her clients’ portfolios by 200%.
After a over a decade in the corporate world, NiCalé tapped into her entrepreneurial spirit and started her own business – Network with NiCalé™. She transitioned from promoting clubs and parties to deals with club owners and interacting directly with artists. Since then, she has independently lined up over hundreds of concerts, tours, guest appearances, events, and personal meet & greets with fans for her clients.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
No, it definitely has not. It was a long road and hard struggle to gain respect and open people’s perspective to a woman not only working independently in a male-dominated industry, but also excel and succeed.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Network with NiCalé™ – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am beyond proud of the success Network with NiCalé™ has brought to myself and many others in such a short time. My undeniable drive plus my faith in God has allowed the company to grow quickly, in which I am forever grateful for. What sets me apart is being one of the few Afro-Latina females in the business. Being a successful female in the music industry is already amazing, but utilizing my knowledge and familiarity in both the Black and Spanish cultures gives me more insight and influence, which creates greater span of opportunities for my artists.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The future plans for Network with NiCalé are truly unlimited. I want to focus on creating a multitude of businesses that intertwine to create a legacy. In the next few years, I plan to start an independent record label and create a top talent management team that truly caterers to the artists and their needs. I plan on being the “female diddy” of this century lol.
