Today we’d like to introduce you to Shod Santiago.
Shod, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Shod Santiago, the name alone rings bells across the social media world. The online sensation received his acclaim from organically creating a following on VINE, which led to 1 million+ viewership. Since the age of VINE, his path to stardom has been an amazing journey. Shod took social media by storm and has since been featured on some of today’s most incredible platforms including BE 100 Radio, VH1.
Since I’ve did a few shows, did some love and hip hop Atlanta; had my own show called the shod Santiago show on SVTVnetwork.com, I’m working on my second book, I’m a cast member of the show Bbw, produced by Jennifer Pessima, I have a few other projects that I’m working on as well! Also, I’m working on reinventing my hat line.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it hasn’t been an easy road! I’m a very open book and that sometimes gets in the way lol I’ve did shows and gotten too drunk and looked a MESS lol but just in general as a public figure/ entrepreneur it’s always going to be hard! Only the strong survive and I’m one of the strong! ❤️
Shod Santiago – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I’m a media personality that’s known for being myself! I’m so grateful that I built a fan base off of being myself and that people actually like me! I have a hat line that caters to gay men and women! Like one of my hats says “all men cheat, so date a rich one” lol I just wanted a really fun line that makes you laugh but that also gets people’s attention! I’m just proud of the fact that I’ve been able to build a brand off of being myself and was able to create content and merchandise! What sets me apart if I’m me! The end! Lol like there is nothing else to even say! I’m me and they’re them! Lol.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I think that success has to do with your mindset and where you want to go! I hate that so many people consider fame success! To me, if you want to open up a shoe store and you do, that’s success, even if the store Doesn’t do as good as you want! The fact that you accomplished a goal of yours is success to me!
