Today we’d like to introduce you to Nyia Peeples.
Nyia, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I got into real estate because I had a baby and wanted a career that provided me flexibility. Prior to having my baby I was working in healthcare as a director where I was unhappy and drained, I knew if I stayed there, I would spend the majority of my days away from him. I wanted to ensure I was able to spend as much time with my kid as well as make great money. How was I going to achieve that? Real Estate… I’ve always wanted to pursue real estate, but I was nervous because I was accustomed to having a consistent bi-weekly paycheck. I stepped out of faith and just did it. I launched my real estate career in March 2018 and it has been the best decision I have ever made career wise and I haven’t looked back since. I was awarded Rookie of the Year for my success as a new agent, I strive to become a top producing agent and help as many as I can buy and sell real estate.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it hasn’t, but it has been a true learning experience. I wouldn’t say I had too many struggles, but I’ve had to adapt and learn quickly to the opposition in real estate. However, like a diamond, I work my best under pressure. In real estate you either succeed or learn, there is not failure. I am continuing to learn everyday and educate myself so I can be the best realtor for my clients and future clients.
Nyia Peeples – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
I help people reach their goal of homeownership. If that goal is unattainable at the moment, I assist them by creating a plan to make it an attainable goal in the near future. I work with some of the best and have great team behind me and we all work together to make that happen. I specialize in working with first-time homebuyers, educating them on the resources and programs that are available to them. I also work with all buyers including investors and sellers. My customer service and communication skills set me apart from the other agents. In this industry that’s hard to find and I believe that’s why I’ve had so much success my first year.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Success is finding what you love to do and not expecting a return for it. With anything, if you provide good service and put your all into it, the success and money will follow. This is why it is so important to me to provide quality service to all my clients so they will refer and tell their friends about their experience and that will cause a domino effect. My ultimate goal is to be a million dollar agent and I know with time that is going to happen.
