Today we’d like to introduce you to Kaelyn Kastle.
Kaelyn, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I was encouraged to move to Atlanta from an industry mogul, Devyne Stephens. He played a big part in the beginning stages of my journey to Atlanta for the music scene. From there on, I then found my management with Jerry Vines and began taking my first few steps into the industry. Since then, I have worked with so many amazing names in the industry that have molded me into the Artist I’ve become.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The entertainment industry has never been easy for anyone, there are always new obstacles to overcome. For me, finding my sound has been very difficult. It has been even harder because I had a team of people I liked but didn’t like working with each other. I’ve learned tuns through my experience whether it be dealing with a label, dealing with internal team situations or trying to get to the sound that I was comfortable with and that I enjoy. The obstacle is finding what works and making sure you’re in love with the task. You have to hustle until you’re no longer obligated to.
Please tell us about Kaelyn Kastle.
I’m a Pop/ R&B recording artist & songwriter born and raised in Bermuda. I’ve been in entertainment professionally since I was first signed to a Bermudian Label, Bermuda Soul Records at 14 years old then later made my journey to the US to pursue music endeavors. I was a major spokesperson for an 80 million Dollar project in Bermuda to build a new hospital, which was a success and I am so proud to have been a part of that project. Since then I’ve had two of my original works placed in a movie called Secrets, on BET. Recently, I have released two singles, on of them and R&B / Pop song called THEY DON’T KNOW. I have so many more projects that I am excited to release and look forward to sharing more information about my next partnership.
If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
If I had to start over, I would have taken more control of my career, as a young artist new in the industry I was fearful of making mistakes. With that being said I was so unaware, making mistakes is normal. I would have spoken up more in the rooms when I’m the youngest and the only woman there. I was fearful of being hushed because I didn’t think my opinion or knowledge was valid when, I’m all actuality, no one understands my career more than I do, or I did.
