We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Nothing’s ever smooth, there’s always a pothole or two, but we soldier on.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with InCrowd Recordings – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
InCrowd is an Indie label, we work out of Toco Electric studios. Mostly vintage analog gear, tape machines, etc. It’s basically a production machine. I’ll write a song for an artist, with basically a rough skeleton. I’ll call the guys in, sometimes 12 guys in one room, playing together filling in the skeleton on the spot, with the singer usually in the room, and we cut three songs in 3 hours.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
We’re going to release our first proper InCrowd LP in the summer. Rollingchild’s “Post Party Depression.”
