Meet Jimarcus Blandin of Wealthy Mindset University in North Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jimarcus Blandin.

Jimarcus, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve been an entrepreneur since the age of nine when I had five downtown paper routes that paid over $100 a week and I decided hired my friends to do the work at $20 a week so I could go play football in the park. I would go on Friday to collect the money and make sure my clients were receiving their product. I paid my friends their $20 as promised and kept the other $80 off each route making me $400/week. This was my introduction to entrepreneurship and pretty good money for a nine-year-old.

I learned about fixing credit around 1998 when my mother wanted a house but had some false and inaccurate mark on her credit report that was hurting her credit score. The year before my uncle had given me a book, that I still have by the way, that taught money making tactics and how to repair credit. So I took a copy of my mother’s credit report and went to work. Her credit score vastly rose over the next four months and she got her house. I quickly became the family financial guy and started working on other family members’ credit as well while still attending college.

After college, I started my own clothing line, Marcus Bling Gear, but after attending the Magic Show in Las Vegas, I decided to move to Atl and change the name to Marcus Bling Clothing Co since Atlanta offered a stronger market. I had money saved up from working summer jobs and saving account from me when I was younger so I also started putting my hand into real estate investing. I had plenty of financial knowledge so I wanted to put it to good use so I started fixing peoples credit again but this time with the intent to help them get a house or sell them one on a lease to purchase. Well, that was the start of my real estate investing company Conversion Real Estate. I became a home manager as well and starting collaborating with the sell of some of the most beautiful mansions in the North Atlanta. So now I had a couple of companies that sold clothes, fixed credit, and assist with flipping and selling real estate. I was well on my way to building my empire and leaving my legacy.

I later added my current financial solutions company, FYI Business, and Financial Solutions, where we help consumer to achieve their financial dreams by utilizing our services to help them restore their financial power through upgrading their creditworthiness and educating them on how to leverage it. We also help assist small business owners with establishing business credit and receiving funding through alternative lending other than the big banks.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Just like anything else, being an entrepreneur and business owner has its challenges. The struggles for me were more so early on before I got some good mentor to further my progress. The fashion industry taught me a lot about getting things done and handling adversity because at fashion shows if it could go wrong, it did. Overall, it been a road of ups and downs but still remain profitable along the journey. Balancing it all during the process of complete my degrees while mentoring over 40+ teenage girls to help them all obtain college scholarships was the most challenging. The power of a good team can never be underestimated because I know that’s how we kept it all together from business to getting kids into college over the last three years.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Wealthy Mindset University story. Tell us more about the business.
