Meet Bill Pryor of CycleBar in Dunwoody and Buckhead

Today we’d like to introduce you to Bill Pryor.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Bill. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The original CycleBar was a small family business near Boston in 2005. It was the first dedicated cycling studio on the East Coast. In 2014, the studio began franchising around the country and has opened over 70 locations including one in Buckhead and one in Dunwoody. A third Atlanta studio will be opening in East Cobb in March. The basic idea behind CycleBar is an experience-driven, community-oriented fitness studio where music, video, and instructor energy create an amazing workout….and where riders find a unique place to work out.

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
As with any new business, the challenge is getting the word out and finding new customers. The idea of a boutique cycling studio is a relatively new concept — so our approach is to get people in through charity rides and other special events that a) connect us to the community and b) allow new riders to experience our classes.

Please tell us about a little more about CycleBar.
In addition to an intense focus on creating a fun, challenging and motivational workout, with a wide variety of instructors and styles — we pride ourselves on working with local charities, companies and organizations to help and give back.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
The Circus.
