Art & Life with Frank Liefe

Today we’d like to introduce you to Frank Liefe.

Frank, please kick things off for us by telling us about yourself and your journey so far.
I am an alien from the lost world of Maldec. I drive a spaceship through the fabric of space and time creating music based upon the spiritual vibrations of the universe. The inception of Frank Liefe began when I released my first single with Q. Parker of 112 for a song I wrote entitled “Make Up Sex.” A collaboration with the notable Killer Mike created the inspiration for “Dually Truck,” my second single. I made an impact at A3C 2015 when I was featured on the festival’s annual mixtape. I then had the chance to create an EP entitled “Above the Clouds,” co-produced by Dj Burn One and the Five Points Bakery (which includes the single “Kobe Wit The Fro”)… I’ve since had a hiatus in order to establish a better, more unique sound for my fans. Thus, came my newest single “Y U Lie?” What the future holds is unknown to many, but I plan to release more singles this year under the concept that I am like the Pink Floyd of Hip Hop.

Can you give our readers some background on your art?
I used to be mad whack with this rap thing. I knew it back then too. But I also had a dream to follow, so I started my journey. I did everything I had to do to make this dream come true. I learned about the music business. I listened to countless hits (new and old, all different genres). I picked them apart. I studied them. I learned music theory. I learned the song format. I learned poetry. I learned sound engineering. I learned how to play instruments and can now teach anybody how to play the piano within 5-10 min. All this was self-taught. Moral of the story, you can accomplish anything if you train your mind to do it. I AM FRANK LIEFE (Fake Realities Avert New Knowledge Loyalty Is Everything For Ever). Now can u see the LIE in LIEFE?. When you get a chance to listen, I invite you. Welcome to the experience of the Mysterious Scribblings I drew on my Wall.

In your view, what is the biggest issue artists have to deal with?
From my personal experience, the hardest challenge is believing in yourself. I believe a lot of artists don’t give themselves the due credit they deserve and give up easily. I believe persistence and consistency is key in any aspect of life. So, self-doubt and procrastination is the biggest challenge I see artists face.

What’s the best way for someone to check out your work and provide support?
