Today we’d like to introduce you to Skitz Pittz.
Every artist has a unique story. Can you briefly walk us through yours?
I was born in Ohio raised in Valdosta Ga. I spent a lot of my youth in trouble making dumb decisions which lead me to doing time on a few occasions. In 2013 I went to trial with felony charges that could put me away for many years. I was found not guilty, and I never looked back. I saved up and moved to Atlanta to pursue music. I had been doing music for a while at this point, never took it seriously. Once moving to Atlanta, it was tough, and I realized quickly that it takes alot of money to make my dream reality. I was able to start a moving company my first year, which has help me move forward with my music.
Please tell us about your art.
I am an artist. I create music for the soul. My message is the same throughout my music. Real Rap Real substance. I hope to inspire the listener through my expression of experiences or thoughts in my head. My purpose of music is to make people feel good and boost their energy.
Choosing a creative or artistic path comes with many financial challenges. Any advice for those struggling to focus on their artwork due to financial concerns?
Realize that money isn’t real and that our feelings towards it is everything. As I stated, I started my own company to fund my music. Its still a hustle and grind behind it and all my problems weren’t solved from that, but it changed my mind towards money. I realized that my emotions towards money was everything and started feeling like I had enough of it. It helped me to not be so dependent on someone else for me making money. You definitely have to figure out a way to make money that doesn’t take all your time away from making music. Its a task but it can be done, so do it with a smile, and it usually turns out better.
How or where can people see your work? How can people support your work?
I have my work on all sites., Itunes Spotify, Spinrilla Youtube, etc. Recently released project entitled Get Rich Get Skitz which is available on all streaming platforms. People can support by streaming project, supporting my events and spreading the music!
