Meet Trailblazer Essynce Moore

Today we’d like to introduce you to Essynce Moore.

Essynce, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started designing clothes when I was six. When I was ten years old, still designing clothes, my mother and I turned Essynce Couture into a business. When I enter middle school I wrote three books at the age of 11, 12, and 13. These books, later on, became mandatory readings in schools around the world. I recently was in a national Clean & Clear commercial, where I talked about my books and the importance of self-love. I also, very recently, launched an all natural, chemical free, perfume for kids and teenagers.

Has it been a smooth road?
There have definitely been struggles. For example, finding out who my real friends are. They say if you wanna find out who your real friends are, start a business and that is exactly what I did. You learn that not everyone in your circle is meant to stay. My advice to others who have lost friends will be to focus on who stayed rather than who left. Some people are meant to be lessons, not permanent.

We’d love to hear more about Essynce Couture.
I am a fashion designer, author, actress, and motivational speaker. I’ve written three books, I have spoken to thousands of kids at different schools, I’ve acted in movies, and I have participated in multiple fashion weeks. I love what I do because it allows me to express myself and be creative. In the process, I also get inspire others which is one of my favorite parts of what I do. In the process of being an entrepreneur, I’ve learned so much; about the world and myself.

Finding a mentor and building a network are often cited in studies as a major factor impacting one’s success. Do you have any advice or lessons to share regarding finding a mentor or networking in general?
Networking is very important and my advice would be to just be yourself. Be raw and authentic because that’s how people relate to you. Try not to focus just on building business relationships but building friendships as well. Creating friendships is truly how I succeeded in networking. Not only have I found future business partners, but I’ve also found some really great people who I’ve welcomed into my circle and they’ve kindly welcomed me into there’s.
