Today we’d like to introduce you to Suzie the Single Dating Diva.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My story started when I got divorced in my early 30s and was all of a sudden thrown back into a single life that was very different than the one I left. Not only was Online Dating now the norm, the need for navigating the dating world strategically was becoming very apparent to me. My journey began with several dating disasters (my first date after my divorce stood me up) and I met some very colorful individuals so I decided to write down my experiences to share with others who could relate. One thing led to another and my readership kept increasing. I starting getting questions for advice, so then I started using my experience as well as my background as a communications expert to help others with my best practices. I was also invited to go on several television and radio programs as an expert guest to discuss my advice. I decided to start using all my skills and experience to help others and started coaching other singles. I used my own expertise to find my very own happily ever after and I’ve helped countless other singles do the same.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
It wasn’t always a smooth road as I had to deal with many online trolls and people who criticized me for giving advice while I was still single. However, who better to give relevant and current advice about the single life and dating than someone who was experiencing it? Currently, my married status does, however, validate that I really do know what I’m talking about and can help others get there too.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
I am a dating expert and coach, helping singles attract the love they desire by using personal marketing techniques as well as helping them narrow in on what they really want in a partner. My website, SingleDatingDiva.com, has hundreds of articles outlining advice spanning different topics such as navigating the Online Dating world to how to act on a date to weed out the bad seeds when meeting someone new. I am especially known for my “tough love, no-nonsense” approach to dating advice which sometimes isn’t so popular but is especially helpful to people who get caught in the loop of dating the same type of people and having the same results. What sets me apart and what I am most proud of is my ability to make complicated situations simple and help people leave bad situations that they’re in, especially negative emotional attachments. Looking from the outside in helps me objectively critique people’s dating lives and help them strategically change their status from single to couple. It isn’t always easy as a lot of people are stuck in their mindset and comfort zones which keeps them locked where they don’t want to be.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
I personally define success as helping others. When I receive thank you emails and messages for something I wrote or advice I’ve given it motivates me to continue on. Also, when one of my clients finds love, that also makes me very happy. I am here to help in any way I can with my expertise and knowledge. Being a recognized expert in my field also is a marker of success for me, particularly when I’m an invited guest expert on various television and radio programs. I currently stay away from affiliations and endorsements of any kind from the dating industry because I want to be as transparent and unbiased as possible. This sets me apart from other dating experts and coaches who like being affiliated with dating sites, etc. As I said, I’m here to help people attract the love they desire. No strings attached.
