Today we’d like to introduce you to DaShaun Johnson.
DaShaun, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I got started in the fitness industry working as a personal trainer for LA Fitness in Atlantic Station back in 2008. I worked at LA Fitness for three years before making the decision to branch out as an independent personal trainer & group fitness instructor. Since branding out back, I was blessed with very opportunities that gave my brand the exposure to shine and make fitness enthusiasts in the Atlanta area aware of who I was.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
No, it has not. One of the biggest struggles with building a brand has been learning that SUCCESS HAS IT’S TIMING. You have to hang in there because that moment when we’re ready to quit is usually the moment right before a breakthrough happens. God has a purpose for our pain, a reason for our struggle and a gift for our faithfulness.
The Guru of Abs Corporation – what should we know? What do you guys do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
The Guru of Abs Corporation is a brand that specializes in teaching fitness enthusiasts innovative ways to workout without going to the gym. I specialize in Standing Sculpting Abs & Core, Body Sculpting Training, Senior Fitness and Training for Autistic kids. I am most proud of as a company of the continuous endeavors that I continuously receive to expand my brand on various platforms. What sets me apart from others is that I focus on what’s not being done and create innovative programs based on what I see is not being done.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
For me, success is the appreciation of the fitness enthusiasts & fitness professionals that I am blessed to encounter with who allow me to lead them along their fitness journey. With the fitness industry today having so many talented fitness professionals, it’s a humbling experience to be able to get the numerous amounts of opportunities and endeavors that I do which is why I strive to be the best I can for all that I can.
