Meet Megan Jeanee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Megan Jeanee.

Megan, we’d love to hear your story and how you got to where you are today both personally and as an artist.
12 year old me sparked the woman I am today. Long story short, 6th grade wasn’t a joke. Hormones were running, things were changing, and my self-confidence was at an all-time low. Awkward. Skinny. No boobs. What was my saving grace? Modeling.

I tried out for a fashion show at my school. THEY LOVED ME and from there I modeled any chance I got. I was a very quiet girl but once I hit that runway, I was free to be the confident fashionista I always dreamed of being. Modeling helped boost my confidence tremendously. America’s Next Top Model was of course my favorite show. My mom and I would practice “what will you do when you’re on the show” scenarios after every episode. Tyra, Miss Jay, and Nigel made the fashion world so appealing to me.

College not only supplied me with a degree in Mass Communications, but it also was the four years I needed to truly discover who Megan Jeanee is and what she loves to do. Other than yearbook in high school, my major and being on the eboard for my college organization “Models and Business” helped me to tap into my creative side. From putting together fashion events, filming short films, digital creation, creative directing photo shoots, and walking in fashion shows it was the reassurance I needed that I want to create for the rest of my life.

I’m all about staying true to myself and implementing things within my life that help me do just that. My mission statement is “Model. Inspire. Create.” (yes, I have a mission statement lol you should too!) Modeling helped boost a confidence in me that I would like to share with others by inspiring them to always walk in their truth and love themselves. I want to continue doing these two things while feeding my creative juices. Modeling, Inspiring, and Creating help make up who I am, they make me Happy.

We’d love to hear more about your art. What do you do and why and what do you hope others will take away from your work?
Right now, I am a freelance marketer and content creator. I do anything from managing social medias to creating digital campaigns. I love it because it allows me to be creative, make money, and still have time to pursue my passions.

I also am over a new fashion events group in Atlanta called “Flashion” where we put on flashion shoots and/or events every month. Every shoot and event that we host continues to make my heart full. Modeling makes you feel beautiful. One of the biggest reasons I started this group is because I want to be able to inspire someone with the confidence I felt when I hit the runway for the first time. There are no limits or requirements just build that CONFIDENCE!

ALSO, I am starting a segment on Instagram and YouTube called Megtalks. I have already started having talks with some of my favorite influentials and I’m excited for the episodes to drop! You can expect to see special guests, to hear inspirational stories, and feel moved by important daily reminders.

I am also working on ideas to branch out and positively influence the youth, some of the ideas include putting together school fashion shows, like the one that shaped me, and partnering with non-profits to instill confidence and drive in our young ones. I continue to do all of these things out of pure love, passion and for the 12-year-old me who longed for the confidence, I have now.

Artists face many challenges, but what do you feel is the most pressing among them?
The biggest challenge with artists today is not staying in their lane. It’s so easy to get caught up in what everyone else is doing and how great their endeavors look. Some get so caught up that they lose themselves and their creativeness. Artists truly prosper by staying true to themselves, that’s the key.

Do you have any events or exhibitions coming up? Where would one go to see more of your work? How can people support you and your artwork?
If you want to support, you can follow me on Instagram @MeganJeanee, Follow my Fashion Event Group’s Instagram @Flashionshow & Follow @Invest.live on Instagram to see some of my digital marketing work.

Click the links in the bios, scroll through the pages and show some love to the other beautiful people tagged on the pages as well.

Watch my Megtalks when they drop, come out to Flashion’s monthly photo shoots and when in need of marketing services hit up me @meganjeanee or Invest.live @invest.live.

Thank you!
