So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
My partner and I visited several Pour Taprooms in other markets before we realized that this concept would be great in Atlanta. With the craft beer boom a few years back and the growing craft beer market this was a no-brainer to introduce a concept of this type to novice and experienced beer drinkers in our city. We opened a month ago and have been well received.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
We had our ups and downs, like most business owners, but chalk it all up to a learning experience. We were fortunate to have several experienced individuals to consult and advise us on what to do and look for in opening up a new concept/business.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Pour Taproom – what should we know?
Upon entering, you’re greeted by a staff member that will check the ID and set up a tab with your credit/debit card. We link a QR card to the tab so that each customer can peruse our vast selection of beer/cider/wines. Each tablet gives you the info of the beverage on draft and when you scan your card you are prompted to pour. You control the pour giving you the freedom to pour as little or as much as you please, thus, paying as little or as much as you want for a drink. The concept allows a novice to experienced drinkers the ability to try a little before they find one for a full pour. There have been other similar concepts in and around Atlanta but none that provides the variety and ease-of-use as our concept allows.

- Wines $1.45 to $1.85 an ounce
- Cocktails (coming soon) $3.50 to $5.00 an ounce
