Meet Crissy Reynolds

Today we’d like to introduce you to Crissy Reynolds.

Celia Reynolds also known as Crissy Rey, is a Wife, Mother, Ultimate Innovator, Spiritual Motivator, Talk Show Host/Radio Personality, Motivational Speaker, Founder of a for-profit ministry I Can Again, member of Legacy Speakers, and founder of Crissy Rey LLC. & CEO of Crissy Rey Collection formerly known as Sassy Chick’s Boutique.

I’m a country girl with a strong Christian upbringing from Perry, Ga. I’m the youngest daughter and fifth child out of six from Ceaser/Hattie Gorman. I grew up singing in my local church choir and at the early age of ten, I discovered my passion for music, hair, fashion, and styling. In my eyes, my mother was a strong role model and icon in the fashion industry. She taught me how to look better than I feel. Always wear a smile and you are your first impression. My mother has an imaginary eye for color and patterns. Because of my mother, I developed a different style and a strong love for color optimization. As I grew up, I like others encountered challenges some which detoured me from my calling. Throughout high school and into college I modeled and helped orchestrate talent/fashion shows in different areas.

In the late ’90, I stepped out on faith and moved to New York to pursue my dreams to become a fashion stylist and music artist. I learned a lot even though I didn’t get signed by a major record label. I modeled for several different fashion designers (Karl Kani & Moshud). In 1998, I began styling full time after the company I was working as a lab technician and Medical Assistant when the business shut down in 2010. I went back to school for business management instead of going back to a hospital setting, then I launched my first official online Virgin Hair Company called Crissy’s Hair Palace in 2011. Between 2012-2015, I studied my craft and began investing my time.,money and energy into rebranding myself. Since then, I have styled artists, models, actors, CEO’s, photographers, and more. My work has been published in Salyse, Imarage, Period, Empeccable & Picton Magazine along with an array of other fashion websites and Youtube tutorials.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It has been a very rocky road, but the outcome is so much better then what you see. I have had major disappointments along the way, but my faith in God keeps me focused. People have lied to me, on me and about me just to try and sabotage my brand. In this industry, I’ve learned to listen and watch because people will always tell you who they are before they show you. My biggest struggle started when I wanted to embrace, promote and bring awareness to modesty. I promised God that if I was allowed to be stylish and start my collection that I would promote modesty. At first I thought I lost customers and connections, but in reality, I gained real clients and made kingdom connections. Another struggle was Finding reliable vendors and teaching my clients the principles of modesty, & how to dress for success. My goal is to help everyone look/feel their best while providing quality clothing.

We’d love to hear more about your work.
Crissy Rey is a wardrobe stylist and my goal as a stylist is to help discover what looks/feels best on you. I take a full analysis of who you are as an individual and help you come up with a look that capitalizes on who you desire to be or want to look like. I offer closet restoration, personal shopping, phone consultations, event styling, corporate styling & high fashion.

I specialize in teaching men and women how to dress trendy in today’s society while still embracing modesty.

CrissyRey Collection is an online boutique store full of handpicked items specifically chosen by me. I have several categories detailed enough to fit everyone’s needs. We specialize in women’s clothing but have a select few specialty items for men & children.

What sets us apart from others is our devotion to God first. We have genuine core values that won’t be compromised. For anyone or thing. A lot of the bigger brands are teaching our youth that it is ok to walk around showing off everything. They leave nothing to the imagination. I am devoted to making our brand one of the hottest modest companies in the fashion industry. I know that I will be accountable for what I’m promoting and putting out in the atmosphere.

I’m proud of the ‘CR Angels ‘program for young college women that I started in January of 2019. It is a program that gives three items bimonthly to any young woman that achieves a 3.3 or higher. We currently have six young women participating in the program. The looks vary and may be a combination of clothes, journals, poems/words of encouragement, & shoes.

What was you like growing up?
Growing up, I was a risk taker, never backed down from anything or anyone. I would take up for the underdog in school. Always was there to lend a hand if anyone needed help. I’m a prankster and use to always set my friends up to get pranked. I was in the church choir for most of my youth years. I modeled in fashion shows at the local malls and sang in all the local talent shows. I won the 2005 American Mall Modeling Competition of Middle Ga. I love music, dancing, and spoken word. My favorite color is purple and big on Action Movies & love a good love story! I absolutely love being a mom and wife even though it’s the most challenging thing I’ve ever done. Family is everything!
