Meet Jordan Armani of Jordan Armani Mgmt. in Stone Mountain

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jordan Armani.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Jordan. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
School was never a stimulating academic experience for me – most teachers just passed you through anyway. Instead of the core academics, I was more interested in my electives, selling snacks, and skipping my class to mess with my favorite teachers. I was able to get creative in school taking electives like Yearbook, School Store, Web Design, Marketing, and I was even the mascot for a semester. It’s safe to say I was active in school as long as I didn’t have to sit in boring classes like Math, Physics, History… High School is when I began to get creative, and this is where my story began. Fast forward to my Sophomore year of college (Georgia State), I started my first creative business, my first clothing brand titled “Holy Guilt” which stands for Helping Our Lost Youth because God Understands I’m Living Thankfully. A year later, I began working Ferrari Simmons of Streetz 94.5 and started to explore the music/entertainment industry with the help of my mentor Justin Hatney. And now, another year later, I’m working on my second brand and do multiple business and future roadmaps consultations (although I haven’t started a business for this YET).

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I have struggles along the way but overall its been smooth. I’ve always been motivated by connecting with others, of course money, and just always wanting a better future. Some hardships I’ve ran into included a lack of funds, not being able to focus on one thing at a time, and the worst all: FAKE LOVE. There were so many times that I thought I had the support of at least 100 people and yet only had ten customers. There were times I wasted money on inventory I thought would sell. There were times I asked if I should keep grinding but I’m so glad I never gave up!

We’d love to hear more about your business.
I have a few businesses that I’m working on but what I’m most known for is making money in different creative ways. In high school, I sold snacks and washed cars, in college I upgraded to building resumes, making clothes, consulting, and just small random gigs. I’m known to unearth an opportunities and run with it! Trying to get some of my clothes to a radio host (Ferrari Simmons) landed me a job and mentorship with his manager (JL Hatney).

My first business was my clothing brand Holy Guilt (Helping Our Lost Youth because God Understands I’m Living Thankfully). This was my test subject, to see if I really had that will and drive to invest money into something I was interested in and actually nurture it. This began towards the end of 2016. I’m working on my second clothing brand currently now that I have more knowledge and a new direction while trying to figure out the focus of my third business a business and aspiration consulting agency (something I’ve done personally for friends and associates for the past three years).

Overall I’m proud that I’ve been able to dive into so many of my interests and meet so many different people of all walks. Hearing so many stories truly shaped my focus and allowed to see a future that I want. I’m proud to know that I’m always working towards that future, even through the hardships.

Everybody has a different type of grind but I think what sets me apart from others is that my plate can be full, and I’m still interested in more opportunities to continually keep that plate full. I never try to pose as something I’m not, I know that I’m only in the beginning stages and still figuring out what my strong suits exactly are.

What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I’ve always been an advocate of sorts and a hustler. I grew up in a mostly woman-dominated environment with a lot of strong women in life, and I’ll always credit them for teaching me compassion. I’d say I got the hustler spirit from my mom, dad, and granddads. My mom has always found a way to make a sticky situation clean, my dad and grandfather have been 100% self-employed since I can remember, and my other grandfather was a hard-working lawyer then judge. This environment always taught me how to work hard while still showing love to others, something I’m currently putting into action.

Some things I always knew was that I would attend Georgia State University, I would start my own business, and I would make my family happy and proud. Interest wise I would say I was always interested in figuring the behind-the-scenes of different operations and always interested in connecting with people of all backgrounds and futures. I’ve always loved hearing the stories of others who are different from me and I’ve always wondered what the moving mechanics were behind different businesses, the minds’ of others, and art.
