Today we’d like to introduce you to Lauren Humphries.
Lauren, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have been in business as a photographer for about six months now, but my hobby started about five years ago when my son was born and I started to fall in love with capturing my little family.
I am a certified high school English teacher and I love order, structure and creativity, and after deciding to be a stay at home mom for a few years, I found photography to have similar qualities as teaching. I love being able to capture memories that impact and make a family who they are: first birthdays, engagements, maternity, newborn.
Has it been a smooth road?
For the short amount of time that I’ve been in this business, the road has been not too difficult. I love meeting new families and being allowed to share in the special times of their lives. I have come across some amazing families and individuals along the way.
So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Lauren Humphries Photography story. Tell us more about the business.
I specialize in natural light outdoor photography and love capturing families, engaged couples, expecting mothers, upcoming graduates, children of all ages, and even business owners and their passions. The lighting outdoors is something unlike anything indoors; natural light gives a glow unlike any other.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Over the next five years, I hope to still enjoy this hobby, turned business of mine. I anticipate getting to meet many more amazing families and individuals and being able to still capture and share these memories with my clients.
