Thanks for sharing your story with us Jada. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
While taking a little time away to revisit my hometown of Oakland, California, I found myself walking down a pier in San Francisco. During my walk, I noticed a(n) man sitting on the side of the road and in his possession, he had some of the most beautiful yet handmade necklaces, bracelets and even blankets I’d ever seen. Seeing a man with so much talent being overlooked truly hurt my heart to know that someone could create such amazing things yet people seem to not notice him, yet at the same time, it inspired me knowing that no matter the circumstances my passion would always keep me uplifted. After seeing that it caused me to think about my love and passion for crystals and how each one has its own different meaning when it comes to the color whether it be healing, motivation, love or even prosperity. Seeing how much joy and relief crystals were able to bring to me, my love and creative mind and love for trying and learning new things led me to use them to create bracelets as my getaway from all the troubles of life in hopes they bring the same joy and peace to others.
Has it been a smooth road?
Being in a car accident prior to me starting my business opened my eyes to a lot. It opened my eyes to live my life to the fullest, use the talents God gave you, and to never give up. Overall, it has been a smooth road especially doing something I love. Outside of the late nights having tons of orders, then waking up 8 am for work can be pretty tiring. But seeing to outcomes of my work & seeing the customers actually love their purchases makes me more determined. It’s only up from here!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the FairyCandi story. Tell us more about the business.
I make handcrafted healing bracelets and regular custom bracelets with beautiful intent. I combined crystals beads to attract wealth, abundance, motivation and peace. FairyCandi is not just any ordinary charm bracelets. I create pieces that are modern, versatile, and chic with a hint of sexy femininity and bold individuality and also specialize in creating for the male, I pay very close attention to every detail to make the male’s wrist stand out. I am most proud of hearing positive feedback from customers & how the crystal help improve their lives. I am blessed to have such a talent and honored! Now, it’s time for the world to see.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
Eventually, I plan on having my own boutique in Downtown Atlanta! Then, eventually, a boutique in San Francisco. I’m looking forward to giving the world a glimpse of FairyCandi.
