Today we’d like to introduce you to Tim J.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Tim. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I was interning with my mentor peppa mouth of the south (yo gotti business manager) trying to learn the music business. I was a fly on the wall most of the time when deals were getting done for about three years. Once he did, all he could do he introduced me to B. Mims (CMG president, CEO of Mogul management), he basically showed me the ins and outs of the management side and showed me things outside of Memphis.
Has it been a smooth road?
The road was anything but smooth, I’ve been in the industry since I was 19. I’m 23 at the moment, a lot of hard long nights just trying to get my foot in the door. People changing on you because of your success or even lack thereof.
Please tell us more about your work, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
Well, I’m a music manager, I do consult for people in the industry. I executive produce projects for an artist.
I’m an A&R for mogul management also. I believe what sets me apart from others is my drive and work ethic from others. I always see the bigger picture.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
In the next 5 for 10 years, I see myself being a Mogul in the business. Having one of the top management companies in the world. Still finding talent and getting into real estate, franchises and starting my own non-profit foundations.
