Today we’d like to introduce you to Izzy Marie.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Izzy. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started IzzyTaughtMe in 2012 in Cleveland, Ohio where I was originally born. I began by self-teaching myself about Fashion and Beauty and began making YouTube videos showcasing what I had learned. Over the course of a year, I had begun to start heavily thrifting, making DIY videos, and selling jewelry.
From there, I began my career as a Fashion Stylist. I’ve done photoshoots for Indie Artist, I was a featured stylist for Fashion Week of Cleveland which was one of the largest Fashion weeks in the midwest and also styled in Macy’s Fashion Shows.
After relocating to Atlanta, I began a Blog which took my career to another level. I now was considered Media. I would show up to events, take photos and recap the whole thing into a story! Eventually, this led me to work on a mini reality series called “The Drop” where I did blogging and filming for celebrity DJs and producers Cash Clay, Dj Marc B, DJ Tone, Dj Lavish Lee, Buddah Bless, and DJ Reese.
Currently, I blog and intern for The Real Rap Plug which is Angie’s List or Indeed of Hip Hop. We have been media for several events in Atlanta also in different cities such as Miami, Charlotte, and Los Angeles.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Heck, no! If anybody tells you different, don’t believe them.
I’ve gone broke, been homeless, cried day and night, doubted myself, started and stopped, lost my confidence.
Every struggle you can think of, I’ve been through it!
We’d love to hear more about your business.
IzzyTaughtMe is Lifestyle Brand focusing on teaching and educating individuals on Fashion, Entertainment, Media & Music.
I like to call myself a Jill of all trades! I specialize in creating a total package. From Fashion Styling to Blog Placements, to Visuals… I’m your girl!
What were you like growing up?
Growing up, I was always the life of the party! I was always known for being the risk-taker.
I enjoyed roller skating every weekend, hanging out with my friends, bowling and just having fun.
