Egypt, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I started Rooks Royal Cleaning Service two years ago. Initially, I did not take my company serious, I just figured cleaning services are in high demand, so let me start my own to make some extra money on the side. I did not begin to take my company serious until about a year in a half ago. I did not expect to completely fall in love with what I do.
I went from periodically having one maybe two clients on the weekend to leaving my job as a teacher to work my company full-time. I have between 3 to 4 (some times more) clients in a day. I am still growing and I see so many big moves being made in the future for Rooks Royal Cleaning Service. What I enjoy most about cleaning is putting a smile on my the clients face after finish.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
At the beginning, the road was rocky because I did not take my company serious and I lack confidence in my skill and /or talent. I had customers who complained and I would take it personal instead of keeping it professional. However, as time went on I had to take a step back and evaluate myself. I had to understand that people have certain expectations for their home when they hire a cleaning service. I had to understand that communication goes a long way. I would just assume because I knew how to clean my own home the client would want his/her home the same way. Now I conduct business differently and the road is smooth. I create checklist for clients, so the client can tell me exactly what he/she would like done and I can check those items of as I go. I also do a walk through before the service is done and after the service is done to ensure the client is satisfied. I stop taking constructive criticism personal. By doing these things it has helped the business grow.

I am the owner and operator of Rooks Royal Cleaning Service. We specialize in: Standard Cleaning, Deep Cleaning, Organizing. Rooks Royal Cleaning Service is known for its deep cleaning service. A deep cleaning includes the bedroom, bathrooms, kitchen, living room/dining area, mopping, sweeping, dusting(high dusting), widows, vacuuming, cleaning the inside of the oven and the refrigerator and baseboards.
I am most proud of the growth the I have seen in Rook Royal Cleaning Service and the number of consistent clients I have now. I believe my positive attitude sets me apart. I know that answer is cliche, but the way I communicate with my customers gives them a sense of comfort and they open up to me.
