Today we’d like to introduce you to Chad Sutherland.
Chad, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
Started in New York-born and raised, I moved to Covington, Ga in 2004, from there, I met my friends that are still my friends till this day. I was always a creative person, a very animated person, I’m always thinking of the new. I graduated in 2011, from there, I went to the art Institute of Atlanta where I studied photography, dropped out, focused on taking care of my daughter. From there, I and my bro Zagan came together and started going to the studio every week, I made a company called Avico Art Vision innovation creativity originality, we started doing our own videos, cover art and continued to drop music, created a clothing line for the company and everything. Now, I’m working harder to make my dreams come to life rocking out shows networking focusing on getting more fans.
Has it been a smooth road?
Definitely hasn’t been a smooth road at all, coming from where I come from, it doesn’t go like that you got the people who hate to see you up, you got the people who want to hold you back and you got the people who don’t want to hold you down life is hard period but it’s about not giving up and that’s something I don’t plan on doing regardless.
Please tell us more about your artwork, what you are currently focused on and most proud of.
Music! Pushing art forward the craft of music the way it is now, it’s changing and I would like to be one of the founding fathers of the new style of music today, that’s what I’m most proud of standing out and being different from the rest because everything we do, it’s far from the norm of what we might be used to.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Our city is definitely a good place for business, it’s black Hollywood, if you can’t figure out how to do that at these times, then you just lost in the sauce. I would definitely recommend starting out here or LA, networking is key branding, etc. get to it and stay on its focus and you’ll be fine.
