Taniya, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My sister was already doing mink lash extensions as a service. We talked about owning a business but I wasn’t sure what component I would bring to the table. I had just given birth to my first child and started training with a personal trainer.
I was suffering from postpartum depression and felt very self-conscious about my body. I didn’t want to take on the expense of having a tummy tuck or other surgery. I was already majoring in Health Science and became interested in ways to lose weight quicker and began some research. I found out I could do non-invasive and non-surgical lipo body sculpting.
After I received my degree and with much prayer, I decided to take a leap of faith. At that time, I was successfully employed with a major cellphone provider and was a top salesperson. I resigned my position and teamed up with my sister and we opened Enhanced Beauty and Body.
At Enhanced Beauty and Body, our mission is to “Enhance the Unique You”. We want our clients to be confident with their natural face and body at an affordable price.
Has it been a smooth road?
Entrepreneurship has been rewarding! I would describe it like a roller coaster ride, has its peaks, stressful but exciting. The hardest part was trying to build the business brand and remembering that nothing happens overnight. The new generation, especially on social media, can make it seem like the journey to success is easy.

Enhanced Beauty and Body is a black-owned family business. We specialize in mink lash extensions and non-surgical body sculpting services. We also sell waist-trainers. We are known for our professionalism in striving to provide excellent service and the best results. We value building long-lasting relationships with our clients and upholding ourselves to the highest standards.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
The best thing about our city is opportunity and the vast presence of education and training. I would have to say that the traffic is the least thing I like about our city.
