Today we’d like to introduce you to Kinyata Russell.
Kinyata, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I started young as a kid off and on but seriously modeling about 15 years ago. A friend of mine mom said she wanted me to do her fashion show, so I did hers, then after that, other people started noticing me and asking me to do theirs as well.
Has it been a smooth road?
No. The road hasn’t been smooth. When I first moved to Georgia, I would go to model casting calls and wouldn’t be booked for anything. I then began to work more on my craft and skills to get the jobs.
We’d love to hear more about your business.
My name is Kinyata so I created a business around it. CEO KINYATAQ MODEL BEHAVIOR. I am a freelance model. My dad always told me my eyes are going to get me in trouble, so I use the power and drama when captured in photos. I am proud that I stepped out of my comfort zone and began to show the world KinyataQ.
Is our city a good place to do what you do?
Yes, our city is a good place to start. So much talent all around us. I would say go for your dreams.
