Meet Kiera Stewart of Byekiki in Herny County

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiera Stewart.

Kiera, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Basically, around summer 2018, I was going through a deep depression and didn’t know how to feel better about myself. Someone at the time was talking down to me so I wanted to prove them wrong. I am beautiful and I can do anything I can set my mind to. I got the opportunity to shoot with an upcoming photographer so I went for it. I didn’t start getting serious about modeling until I made my New Year’s resolution to always come out Steppin. Sooner or later, a lot of people start to see my style and wanted to book me for it. I love having the opportunity to be myself but also create art.

Has it been a smooth road?
For the most part, it was easy because while I was in college (Southern Crescent Tele college) for cosmetology, I end up meeting a lot of creative people. Plus, at the school, I was going to there’s a lot of people majoring in film. So, I really just need to start talking to people. I was scared at first but I decided you need to be bold or you need to go home. I’m still not where I want to be in the modeling gang but slowly, I am getting to where I want to be.

So, as you know, we’re impressed with Byekiki – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
I am a cosmetologist, so I do my own hair, nails, and lashes for my shoots. Which is cool because I don’t have to pay a lot of people to get the stuff I need to get done. I think what makes me different is my energy. Anything that I’m doing, I bring very positive energy take make anybody feel really good. I’m mostly proud of the ability I have to be myself with my career and not worry about having to ‘fake it till you make it’ with my 9 to 5.

Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I live in Stockbridge so a lot of time in Herny County, Clayton County, and Dekalb County. Some of my biggest opportunity are the northside Atlanta and that could take hour-plus to get there depending on traffic. It is  worth it to make those long trips to create opportunities. For the most part, I’m in a good spot, because there is a lot of photographers in my area that people don’t know about. There’s a lot of location to shoot it that people don’t realize. Like this city is a very good location to take pictures there but Herny County could have some very good spot that you don’t see being utilized.
