Meet Anthony Bradley, Stacey Jones, and Garrett Stewart of CredScor in South ATL

Today we’d like to introduce you to Anthony Bradley, Stacey Jones, and Garrett Stewart.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Anthony, Stacey, and Garrett. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
The story of CredScor started when a good friend of Anthony Bradley was doing a club promotion in the Atlanta area, this friend hired social media influencers to promote the night in the hopes of getting major exposure through Instagram to have people enjoy their night there. Many people promoted the night including Anthony.

The night was a failure, nobody came. Anthony then looked into the social media accounts of the influencers that were used and discovered that these accounts had little to no engagement on the posts.

We looked into the accounts and discovered that the accounts of the influencers were full of engagement from “bots”, that led us to believe that these “influencers” bought their followers, likes, and comments.

We wondered if a club promoter had this issue, what about big companies such as stores that we find in malls? What about major hotels? Car manufacturers? What about major airlines?

Most importantly, what about the general public? Many of us look to influencers to determine what to buy, where to go and what activities to do, we should want to know who is actually legit vs. someone who is faking the influence.

We developed an algorithm that help determine who is really who in the social media world. We can help answer questions such as:

Who is a real influencer that gets engagement?
What music artists actually get streams vs. ones that pay for it?
What is the true reach of an influencer?
Who can be an influencer?
Who are the people buying followers, likes, and comments at a large rate?

We will work with anyone, from day 1 social media user to the largest corporations in the world!

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
As with most businesses, this road has NOT been easy!

We have come along many hurdles, we struggled to know who to talk to in the city, who were the marketing directors for various companies.

With none of us having a dedicated technical background, a big obstacle is not as one would think on the “how” to do certain things is the only hurdle, rather knowing or learning the correct terminology for tech was the largest.

Knowing:

Where the major tech centers in Atlanta are.
Where the major V.C. companies in the city are.
Who to speak to for guidance and advisement.
Knowing what the alphabet soup of acronyms are…
and more!
We came into this with an awesome idea and learned as we went!

This is not the environment for photoshoots, glamour shots and party nights! Working in tech is usually at a tech center in the city in front of a computer until the sun comes up after you have been there all day.

Please tell us about CredScor – what should we know?
Our Company CredScor is a tech company that specializes in bring credibility to the social media world, we go well beyond the “Blue Checkmark”. We are able to give a company or the general public detail on who is a social media influencer if someone buys followers, comments, and likes. We can show who is legitimately using social media vs ones that are suspicious.

What’s the true value of having a blue checkmark if all your followers are purchased?

Our intention is NOT to expose who “fake the influence” yet we aim to shine a light on those who are genuine!

The things that sets are apart is that we are totally unbiased in everything. We are not in the market to become favorable to any particular company, influencer, politician, or user.

We aim to help every partner that we have to the best of our abilities. We do not treat the people/businesses as merely “clients” we intend to build relationships with everyone that we encounter.

Stacey has been extremely important in identifying trends that happen in social media (sometimes before they happen). He has easily identified the “HOW” with any question comes up about our growth. They are times we would have met an obstacle that we would not know how to tackle without Stacey’s foresight.
