Today we’d like to introduce you to Dajiah Blackshear.
Dajiah, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m a Detroit native moved to Atlanta in August of 2013. Helping a friend move and relocate for a new job I was introduced to ATL. Packed my things in my car and moved with only $1300 in my pocket. I was a beauty school drop out self-taught stylist, and I’ve literally worked my way from the bottom. I’ve assisted and learned from some of the best in the industry so I am a melting pot of success.
Has it been a smooth road?
Bumpy to say the least, but like any journey how you push through obstacles is what builds character. I have overcome self doubt, depression, heart break, I am no different that the next girl in her 20’s. But I am thankful for every lesson learned because it has made me extremely resilient.

I am a Hair health specialist and therapist. My goal is to help you reach your hair goals. I’m most proud of the fact that I can be professional and real as a stylist, people feel comfortable talking to me and that makes me feel good. I want to heal women from the inside out.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
I have been extremely lucky to have met some of the most beautiful and influential people that have directly or indirectly helped me to win.
