Meet Tiffany Nowlin of Beauty Marked Mobile Concierge Hair Services in Metro Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Tiffany Nowlin.

Tiffany was laid off from her corporate employer in 2012 and was forced to choose between finding another corporate career or to finally pursue what she was most passionate about-beauty. In 2013, the groundwork for Beauty Marked Mobile was created and Tiffany began promoting mobile hair services centered around hair extensions. A year later, she enrolled in cosmetology school at Georgia Institute of Cosmetology and Esthetics where she graduated valedictorian of her class with a 3.9 GPA. Today,

Beauty Marked Mobile has grown a team of dedicated stylists that provide an array of hair care services for an elite clientele throughout metro Atlanta. They also extend their services to perform at national beauty tradeshows as platform artists, contribute to beauty editorial publications and support the local entertainment market.

Has it been a smooth road?
It has definitely been a learning experience servicing clients in a mobile capacity. The initial struggles included finding a specific clientele whom preferred to receive hair services in the comfort of their home or location of their choice. Due to the structure of the company, we primarily work on a referral-only basis which limits the volume of clients we would typically see if we were in a brick and mortar salon/suite.

As we continue to establish a strong clientele, working out the logistics of transporting equipment, setting up mobile stations in remote locations and acquiring adequate lighting are/were probably the top 3 struggles for our stylists.

So, let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Beauty Marked Mobile Concierge Hair Services story. Tell us more about the business.
Beauty Marked Mobile is the concierge service for women seeking personalized beauty treatments in the comfort of their homes, workplace or location of their choice. We strive to provide our elite clientele with the luxury of receiving boutique services customized around their life, schedule and personal hair care needs.

Our team is comprised of only licensed beauty professionals and we share the same objective of creating individual hair regimens that promote healthy hair care for our clients. Although our company specializes in hair extensions, our #1 goal is to maintain a healthy head of natural hair (under the bundles).

I think as a company, we are most proud of the relationships we have established with our clients and how those relationships have allowed us to see exponential growth beyond the salon.

The one thing that sets us apart from other beauty companies and stylists in Atlanta is our community work. As Atlanta continues to grow in the entertainment sector more people are moving to Atlanta with the hopes of acquiring fame. From its inception, Beauty Marked Mobile was created to make the everyday woman feel like a star and we are proud to extend that service to less fortunate women and young girls living in Atlanta who may not be able to acquire those same services on their own.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
We are working really hard to create mobile hair salons that will allow us to literally bring the salon to the doorsteps of our clients. Ultimately, we want to be able to provide these mobile units fully equipped for other stylists to purchase or rent for their individual entrepreneurial objectives and/or for film/music/television productions throughout the state.

Also, we are creating a non-profit organization that will focus solely on providing mobile hair services to women and female children living in transitional/emergency housing communities or homeless shelters in the city; as well as survivors of sex trafficking.
