Today we’d like to introduce you to Adrean Mitchell.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Hello and thank you.
I am a self-educated day trader with almost a decade of experience as a consistently profitable trader. I was born on Eglin Air Force Base, Florida. By having parents on each coast I grew up calling both Atlanta, Georgia and Compton, California home.
Being the son of a librarian and a bit of a math junkie, I have always been an avid reader and I developed a skill for simplifying a lot of what most would consider to be complicated.
My curiosity and, later, my love for trading and the markets started in my early teens watching my second cousin make a phenomenal living as an extremely profitable trader. This was also at a time when getting into the trading business was very expensive and most often a broker traded your money for you. Not to mention, I wasn’t yet 18 and could not open a trade account.
Fast forward to 2011: my opportunity came in the form of currency pairs. I jumped in with both feet and was almost eaten alive. Between the setbacks and the difficulty in finding a mentor that truly knew what they were doing, I almost gave up and went back to working a 9-5. I couldn’t give up though. I had come too far, invested too much time and money and quite honestly, I knew in my heart I was at the point of turning a corner- but somewhere an adjustment was needed in my approach.
I dedicated myself to purely learning the craft. Strictly focused on proper trading, I gained a wealth of knowledge and I have since simplified my approach and transitioned myself to a consistently profitable day trader.
I believe in keeping my information and the way I coach very simple, straight to the point and in plain English and examples you can overstand. This is a different type of business. That does not mean it has to be difficult to learn.
As for me, I’m far from the stuffy suit & tie type (as you can see). I might throw one on for an event but other than that, I’m a regular Air Max & sweats kinda dude.
I am blunt & honest about what you need to have and need to do to become a successful day trader.
This business, like anything else you want to achieve, will take work, dedication, focus, and practice. If you can give a college thousands upon thousands of dollars and at least four years, then surely with the same focus and drive you would give “school”, you can learn how to specialize in using low risk, OTM (Out of the Money) spreads.
My goal is to help and teach as many day traders and aspiring day traders as possible to get to a point of consistent profitability while using as little capital as possible. In other words, make as much as possible using as little as possible. I provide materials and coaching that will, with your effort, take you from a complete novice to a consistently day trade…for far less and with a much faster turnaround time for you to begin earning money from your education.
Trading the markets is not the complicated, super expensive thing you have been made to believe it is. I am here to help you overcome your fears, dispel your misconceptions and in plain English, teach you how to plan, execute and profit from Wall Street.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
I wish I could say yes but no, it has not been an easy road.
I have had an interest in learning this skill since I was maybe 12 or 13.
When I was reintroduced to trading in 2007, my experience was that it was difficult finding and connecting with a “real” day trader in the online space. My second cousin was a day trader but by 2007 she had retired and the manner in which you day trade and the options available to you had changed a lot since she was last on the trading floor. I decided it was best I get a current education on how to properly do this.
There was also the challenge that everyone in the online space claiming to be able to teach you how to properly trade were more marketers than people that actually day traded for a living. I was not at all interested in building a downline or selling anything…I just wanted to learn how to properly day trade.
I love to read so I decided to teach myself.
During my “educational period” from around 2008-2011, I continued to work my 9-5 and just immersed myself in learning how to properly trade. All the while dealing with life’s ups and downs. On my own I learned technical aspects of this business and through a lot of practice I developed my “trader intuition” and learned to control my emotions…I got a real hands-on education.
I will say this….
If I can credit anyone with mentoring me in the latter part of my “educational period” it would a real solid dude I became acquainted with via the online trading community and would quickly become one of my best friends…Federico Alvarado. When we met he already had a documented ten years of education and experience and was currently trading for himself…and to be honest, he was SUPER selective about who he took under his wing.
He was instrumental in me sharpen my trading skills, turning that corner, navigating the learning curve and becoming consistently profitable. We still speak regularly to this day and he is still a mentor to me. I respect him a great deal.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Grind Major Day Trading – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of as a company and what sets you apart from others.
So Grind Major Day Trading was born out of a few things but the need for a change was top on that list.
My original plan was to just day trade, keep quiet about my knowledge and just live life as stress free as possible. That thought changed after seeing the huge void with individuals being exposed to not only this skill but someone that is willing to really teach them. After talking with a few very close loved ones, and spending time developing a way to teach what I had learned, I decided to offer myself and methods as a way to consistently day trade properly and successfully.
What I specialize in is teaching any aspiring day trader or active day trader how to be consistently profitable using as little capital as possible. In other words, I teach you how to use as little money as possible to make as much as possible by day trading.
What sets me apart is my approach to the charts, ways I get you to overstand the information I provide and probably most importantly, my consistency and the consistency of my students with trading low-risk contracts. There is no such thing as a perfect way to trade because the market is not perfect. The goal is to have a method you can repeat that is consistently profitable over time. That is what I have taught myself and what I to those I teach and have taught.
I’m also on a mission to make my education and coaching services as affordable as possible. The financial landscape has and is drastically changing. College is not the best fit for everyone and the internet has opened up a ton of avenues to earn a very good living.
Day trading, when executed properly and with patience, is one of those avenues. I don’t believe learning to day trade should cost an exorbitant amount, so I provide as much value and content as possible for an affordable price and try to make myself available as I possibly can.
What I’m most proud of is being able to not only share what I’ve learned on my own but to see how quickly my coaching clients grasp the methods and are able to put them into action. It’s one thing to do it yourself, but it’s something different to teach others and get them to recreate your results on a consistent basis.
Yeah, I have to say I am proud of that.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
The last six months have been pretty busy and full of growth, so I most certainly have some future plans.
I definitely plan to reach more aspiring and active traders and grow GMDT as a business. GMDT will be your source for a day trading education that is as easy to overstand, affordable, accessible and most importantly, consistently profitable.

This tool enables traders to get standard deviation levels for the U.S. Indices without doing long calculations or having to wait on someone to give them this information. A truly empowering tool!
September 16, I launched the GMDT “Create Your Paradise” 10-week training program. In this new program, I’ve put intense focus on not only technical parts of this skill but also controlling the emotional aspects so that you can maintain discipline and properly day trade.
The goal is to, in 10 weeks, give you an overstanding of charts, low-risk trading methods and techniques to control your emotions that you can learn and put into action as soon as you are comfortable doing so. The GMDT Create Your Paradise 10-week training program is self-paced and recorded so you will have access to not only the training material but also recordings of the live Saturday online training session in case you are not able to attend.
This August I became a board member and partner of a wonderful nonprofit called The Beacon Foundation based in West Virginia.

The Beacon Foundation’s efforts focus on increasing the number of minority and female students in the West Virginia Eastern Panhandle who pursue and complete 2- and 4- year degrees. We aim to remove barriers from the application process, provide guidance to students who desire to pursue higher education or trade programs, and assist in providing academic and financial support for students and families. All of these services are provided to students at no financial cost to them.
Initially, my role as a board member and partner will be to assist in bringing awareness to the mission, fundraising and financially sponsoring students through the application process. I would expect as Beacon grows, my duties will grow as well.
Beginning January 2020 GMDT will donate 10% of its ten weeks training program enrollment fee to Beacon to sponsor student application fees and help with other financial requirements, so I’m pretty excited about that as well.
In 2020, I will begin traveling to teach my GMDT Create Your Paradise 10-week training program in other cities so look out for those announcements!
