Meet Kiunna Lowe of KLowe Photography in Chamblee

Today we’d like to introduce you to Kiunna Lowe.

Kiunna, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
I’ve started photography right after being a model in both fields, freelancing in Macon, GA, my hometown. I was curious and started to wonder if I can create beautiful work as other photographers do but in my style. Years later, I moved to Atlanta, which makes it about four years now growing my business being a fashion and portrait photographer. I love bold dramatic colors, shadows and toning my images. Studio is mostly what I love to do where I can come up with different ideas and/or creating my own stuff with other talented artists in this industry.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
There will always be struggles in anything you do. Photography can be so much fun but then you run into a snag where a model doesn’t show up or the location you’re at it started to rain. Your equipment won’t work or just the shoot you been preparing for goes wrong, you don’t like the outcome of the images, “haha.” I just always learn from things like this and keep it going to do better or shoot and approach it definitely when I have struggled along the way.

Please tell us about KLowe Photography.
KLowe Photography is a fashion and portrait company as I would say, branding myself as a freelancer. I shot bold, shadows, toning work to my images for my own style. Studio is my heart even though I do go outside from time to time but I’ll rather shoot studio based cause I can control what I do. What I’m most proud of is that now, been a long time coming people are knowing me for my work and style and also the customer service I give with every session. You have to do a little standing out if you’re in Atlanta. So, I’m glad that people can see my work and know that “me”.

If you had to go back in time and start over, would you have done anything differently?
I would have already moved out and jumped on working on my photographer career on things I know now and can apply that in the past I would. But life doesn’t work that way, and you gotta keep going to better your future in your career.
