Today we’d like to introduce you to Milla Reese.
Thanks for sharing your story with us Milla. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My passion for photography began with my love for all forms of art. Photography allowed me to express myself in a lot of ways. I’m a perfectionist so I’m super tough on myself when it comes to what I put out. Photography has taught me many life lessons.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
My obstacles come from other artists in the area not lifting each other up instead of supporting one another. It’s never a competition for me because there are enough clients to go around. I feel if you do your best work, no matter what, people will come to you from the vibe they gather from you along with the work you put out.
What do you do, what do you specialize in, what are you known for, etc. What are you most proud of? What sets you apart from others?
I specialize in weddings but I’m also we sports Photographer. I’ve done work with the NFL (Minnesota Vikings) as well as some NCAA football teams (FSU, Auburn, & Miami). Football is my strong suit for sure.
What were you like growing up?
I was always into different forms of art. A shy kid that didn’t do the typical kid stuff in school. I never went to homecoming dances or prom. I studied art. I started with drawing, then went to painting. I did music for about 3-4 years which lead to me doing graphic designing and photography.
