Today we’d like to introduce you to Keci Brailsford.
So, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I have all ways been around construction, my Family having a family business in Jacksonville Fla. I never thought that I would want to be a part of construction but life always seem to bring funny chaos. As a young kid, I always had big dreams, I wanted to do something BIG, but life changed and I became a teen mom which led me having a huge need for a career that would always be around and would bring stability with good income for my small child and I. So I enrolled in Nursing school. tugging my small child and books at the same time wow was it hard I cried many days but I was very determined to make a good life for us. To make a long story short, I started working for St. Luke’s hospital Mayo Clinic after some time I became very weary and felt stuck so I decided to move to Atlanta for a life adventure, a friend that I met in Atlanta told me about a small roofing company that needed help with marketing so I decided to take that adventure, from marketing to becoming one of the persons that help run the company, as a woman I seen how difficult this construction business was so I became very determined to do what others said I couldn’t and that was to open up my own Roofing Company. I always vowed to never pass judgement on anyone only encourage dreams. I still hit my trying times but I am a warrior quitting is not in my DNA. My goal today is to speak with women all across the globe, all ages letting them know that everything is possible no matter how the circumstance look if we stay determined and committed we will make it. Has it been a smooth road?
No it has not been an easy road let me tell ya! Just having a business alone can be difficult, competing in the industry some not all but some still thinks a man would have more knowledge but I tend to prove them wrong. Other than that, I get on in the roof just like the guys do.
