Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Randolph-Bennett.
Ashley, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I started Posh Preparations in 2014. It all started from me assisting with planning our family outings and vacations. I was the bargain hunter, but I also would find things we’d actually like and benefit from. There was never a “you get what you pay for” happenstance. All of our travels were enjoyed by all.
After doing that for some time, I decided it best to try my hand at planning for others. My first client was one of my college friends. She referred her friends and whoever else was looking for travel planners. From then on, it’s been on the up and up.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It’s definitely been a bumpy road. While some vacations are easier to plan because of personal knowledge, others may take some time and research to complete. The more people, the larger the trip, the more time consuming, the less time and space for error.
I’ve learned major lessons along the way and implemented systems that will assist with streamlining the processes.
Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Posh Preparations – what should we know?
I am a travel planner. I like to call myself a travel concierge. I like to make sure your vacation runs smoothly as if I’m there in the background making sure nothing goes wrong. From the moment you give me all the details, I’m in contact with your different accommodations and fulfilling your needs throughout the trip. I make sure you enjoy from start to finish, and I make sure you return safely home.
Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
I pay very close attention to detail. I’m a stickler for making sure you have what you want and nothing else. I don’t want to be on vacation and there are 100s of things planned that I don’t care for. I make sure the accommodations fit the person, the activities are fun, adventurous, and the like, and I even throw in a few extras here and there!
