Thanks for sharing your story with us Calina. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
My name is Calina… My entire life, the only thing I’ve ever been sure of was that I was born to do hair. I live to breathe and love everything about it. I’m 29 years old and a single mom and times have been trying at times but I’m beyond resilient and I know what’s waiting for me in this big beautiful world. I struggled with insecurities as a child which made me want to make things beautiful even more. I’ve been professionally working as a stylist for six years but I’ve been doing this my entire life. I laugh and joke a lot. I love to keep my clients comfortable and entertained.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I’m not going to call my situation troubles. They were simply tests so I can have a testimony.
I had my daughter at 15, we’ve been homeless a few times and it’s been a lot of long tearful night but I now know how truly blessed I am.
Please tell us about Hairkrazed Kreations.
I do everything except locs! I’m especially known for my bob cuts and flawlessly flat installs(weave)
When you sit in my chair, you are family and that is exactly how I treat them, we laugh talk and sometimes I get a random “I really needed that talk” and it warms my heart.
What sets me apart is my personality and charm to know me is to love me and I will definitely make you laugh and we all know laughter is good for the soul.
Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
My favorite memory from my childhood was sitting in my grandmother’s deep freezer watching her put icing on her cakes and waiting to lick the bowl.😍
