B Combs, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
Over 15 years of experience in the fashion industry has lead me to become a licensed Cosmetologist. My background started as many trying to fit into the corporate world. Attending Empire Beauty School was one of the greatest things that I choose to do for myself. I completely disregarded what anyone might think of me obtain this goal and focused on achieving that for myself. It gives me great pleasure to get on stage sharing my art as a cosmetologist, Platforming for several companies. I’ve won awards, competing with my peers. I have had the opportunity to work in film, commercials, and television. I am currently working with Dr. Simone of Married to Medicine on BravoTV.
I truly feel that anything is possible in this industry and I am continuing to grow everyday.
Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
Challenges come up often when you are trying to win. It has not been a smooth road, however I’ve learned that in order to win you have to be uncomfortable first!

B Combs Hair is my hair company. I hold several umbrellas under this brand. I am a licensed master cosmetologist, platform artist, makeup artist, male grooming, and I sell extensions. I try to touch all avenues of the beauty industry, however if I had to choose my favorite (or specialty) it would be extensions. I love the transformation of it all.
What is “success” or “successful” for you?
Personal success is defined by your happiness with where you stand in life. When you can wake up and be excited about your days journey regardless of the obstacles that it takes to complete that day, I feel that you have reached success.
