Today we’d like to introduce you to Crystal Parker.
Crystal, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
How I came up with the name “Milann Amour” was from my daughter who had a vision to start a swim line. Amour represents the love of fashion. I have always been motivated to help the youth and young adults showcase their talent. I provide motivation, resources and networking opportunities as well as functions for exposure. Many young people have so much talent in them but due to financial reasons, and other support they are unable to be noticed. I am a mother of three wonderful children who each have a different talent and I myself supported them in whatever they wanted to try and do.
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc. – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
It’s never a smooth road. I started this journey with my daughter at the age of six years old. In the beginning, I never took her wanting to model and act serious I always said she’s just playing. I never knew or realized she was not playing. Becoming a widow at such a young age and a single mother it was hard mentally, physically, and financially but I never gave up. It seemed as though everything I looked into to get started was at a cost in which there were times I couldn’t do. But again, giving up was never an option. I always made a way out of nowhere. Never take for granted the gifts people have just because you don’t see it. Help, support and motivate.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Milann Amour – tell our readers more, for example, what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
“Milann Amour” will represent a variety of things. One of the focus is an affordable swimwear line catered to everyone. The main focus however is mentoring and helping youth, and young adults expose their gifts and talents God gave them. Currently, I am excited about my Annual Fall N2 Fashion Show where I have upcoming models, designers, and entertainers come together and put on an amazing showcase. I am proud of the feedback and assistance I have been to others in which I had no idea the impact I can be on someone else’s life.
So, what’s next? Any big plans?
My plan for the future is to focus more on mentoring, and networking. The year “2020” will have a different approach and I’m also excited about the swimwear release.
