Today we’d like to introduce you to Khadijah Page.
Khadijah, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’m a native of Kansas City, Missouri sought a career in the beauty industry and found my passion after moving to Birmingham, AL. After completing my education at Paul Mitchell Hair Institute in 2013 and receiving my license, I concentrated on building my brand ”KPageCollection”, a highly-quality collection of 100% virgin hair all different textures with professional care and proper maintenance will last up to two to three years and is shed free and colors well.
I also have t-shirts, bonnets and edge head scarfs. I was an independent stylist working with eight other stylists behind the chair paying booth rent for so long until one day I step out on faith in opened up ”KPage Hair Studio” in 2018 business is great my clientele is continuing to grow I can’t thank God enough. I also enjoy spending and being a full-time mom to my adorable son Kendrick as I continue to advance in my career and embrace the new life in this billion-dollar industry. I encourage all those who dare to dream because dreams do come true!!
We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Yes and no! Owning a business can be challenging in itself. From building clientele, finding personal time for yourself, and being a mom are just a few of the struggles I’ve faced. Overall it’s been challenging but very rewarding to build and grow from nothing.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the KPage Hair Studio story. Tell us more about the business.
I’m a hairstylist and owner of KPage Hair Studio. I specialize in natural hair and color treat. I’m mostly known for my vibrant and one of a kind colors and hair company where I sell premium hair bundles. I went from styling in a salon of nine stylists to owning my very own salon. I think what sets me apart is my ability to listen to what my clients need and deliver quality and efficient services.
Has luck played a meaningful role in your life and business?
It’s literally been all hustle and no luck! I’ve been blessed to able to consistently do what I love with no breaks. Life happens but you have to keep moving.
