Today we’d like to introduce you to Danae Watson.
Danae, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Well, I’ve always been creative. A little bit of my background work stems from education and working with special needs students who need to be stimulated in creative ways. And after I’ve had my kids I had multiple reasons to tap into my design gifts. I have developed a love for event planning and designs and it gives me a way to release my creative juices that I have all rolled up in my head.
Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It definitely has not been an easy road, starting up with a saturated profession. Funding my events and doing expensive work for very low prices to get your name out there. Continuously trying to prove yourself to prospective clients. Trying to stick out from the rest. I just keep steadfast and pray. My grandmother tells me weekly, I have a divine order and stay true to myself keeping God as my guide. My family is also my biggest supporters and my kids love to see me creating memories even though I sacrifice time with them, as small as they are they love to see me create especially when it’s celebrating them. A working full-time mom of four with multiple projects, some may say I’m superwoman.
Divine Designs by Danae – what should we know? What do you do best? What sets you apart from the competition?
My business helps lasting creative moments for clients that they can showcase whatever event they may be celebrating. Within my business, I specialize in custom designs for all occasions. Which includes but not limited to balloon design, Floral Arrangements, children parties, vinyl projects, Bachelorette complete planning, Bridal showers and Wedding coordinating. Best of all, I offer unbeatable prices for the average person. I’m known for the little additional creative pieces that sets each event apart from the rest especially my stand up 3D props. I am most proud of the accomplishments and growth of clients on a monthly basis. As well as the number of social media likes and shares I received.
What moment in your career do you look back most fondly on?
My proudest moments definitely has to be living in my truth and stepping out on faith and actually living out my dream with no regrets. So, every moment I get to create is my proudest moment.
