Meet Ashley Smith of Kindness Kouture in South Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Smith.

Ashley, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
Kindness Kouture was created in 2017 when my daughter, Kindness, came into my world. My daughter is two years old and loves to take a spin in gorgeous puffy dresses. Kindness Kouture is essentially a luxury children’s brand targeted towards special occasion apparel for young girls. My vision is to provide unique designs for little girls that is not only beautiful but also inspire, motivate, and uplifts. For example, Clouds of Courage, Believably Beautiful, Black Excellence, and Golden Glam are a few of our design names. We also will be hosting our very first Kindness Kouture Coat Drive this year, Coats and Cupcakes! We cannot wait to give back to those in need!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has not been a smooth road but we are thankful for our progress. Marketing and gaining exposure is an uphill battle. But with consistency, we have been able to make our way towards the top!

Alright – so let’s talk business. Tell us about Kindness Kouture – what should we know?
Kindness Kouture provides luxury contemporary designs to little girls. We are not your average clothing line. Our targeted audience are girls between the ages of 2-12. Our holiday is to build self-esteem and motivate our little girls who will soon grow to be beautiful women. It’s vital in our society to encourage and groom our youth for the future. We just do that in a different way. Girls love puffy dresses and fashion! Kindness is simply delivered in each and every package purchased with a handwritten note from us to your little girl!

Is there a characteristic or quality that you feel is essential to success?
Sharing Kindness with others by giving back to the community through coat and food drives sets us apart from any other children’s clothing line. We strive to spread kindness in various ways. (Our handwritten letters to each customer and community activities, we also share motivational messages on our website and social media.) Kindness Kouture has been apart of several charity fashion shows this year to support causes against child abuse and child bullying.
