Meet Zindzi Harris

Today we’d like to introduce you to Zindzi Harris.

Thanks for sharing your story with us Zindzi. So, let’s start at the beginning and we can move on from there.
I started House Of Saddity purely because I loved Saddity accessories but hated paying an arm and a leg for them. So, I decided I would start a company that sold accessories that looked Saddity but didn’t hurt your pocket. Once that idea was born it took me about a year to give HouseOfSaddity.com to the world. The process wasn’t easy, from making the website to finding a whole seller, I was often tired and ready to give up. I’m glad I didn’t because today House Of Saddity is a thriving black owned business that I couldn’t be more proud of.

Overall, has it been relatively smooth? If not, what were some of the struggles along the way?
The road to getting House Of Saddity up and running often frustrated me because there was so much I had no idea about when it came to running a business. I was at a loss when it came to the paperwork aspect of the business in the beginning. I spent more time on Google than I’d like to admit just trying to get a grip on what my next steps were to make my business official. The biggest struggle would have to be understanding the actual business end of being an owner.

Please tell us about your business.
House of Saddity is a black owned business that specializes in fashion accessories. We carry jewelry, sunglasses, and purses currently for affordable prices. The company is definitely known for its Saddity Shades! Our sunglasses are our top sellers. We house styles that you won’t see everywhere and keep our collection on trend. I am so proud that my company can help men and women feel their best when they wear our items. I love seeing how happy customers look at Saddity products.

Any shoutouts? Who else deserves credit in this story – who has played a meaningful role?
I won’t say a big thank you to my best friend and sister Abri. She always supported me and my dreams since we were just Brownies in the Girl Scouts. So I shouldn’t have been surprised that when I told her about House Of Saddity she was my biggest motivator. She models for my site and takes photos for me whenever I need her. Love and light always to her for encouraging me during everything!
