Meet Laytin and Laytin Tailor Bracely

Today we’d like to introduce you to Laytin and Laytin Tailor Bracely.

Laytin and Laytin, let’s start with your story. We’d love to hear how you got started and how the journey has been so far.
My story begins with the birth of my son Laytin Tailor. I am a disabled veteran and photographer. When I got out of the military I suffered from depression. After being depressed for several years, I was finally able to overcome it. It was after the birth of my son in 2012 that I got a new outlook on life and moved to Atlanta in 2013 to pursue a career in entertainment. I also went back to school to get my associate’s degree in photography. My dream for my son was for him to be a baby and child model. But, because of the distance and disagreements with his mom, it was unsuccessful. When he started to get a little older, his interest in sports peaked. I would travel to August to train with him and he excelled early on in soccer and basketball Fast forward to 2019, my son moved with me to Atlanta and thus the new beginning.

This summer, during a brief move to New York, he told me he didn’t mind moving, but the only thing he wanted to do was to play football – something he has been begging me to do since I bought him some shoulder pads when he was just three years old. So, upon our return to Atlanta, I signed him up and volunteered as a coach at a local rec center. And the rest, as they say, is history. During his very first season – first time playing football, my son, Laytin Tailor, dominated! He scored many touchdowns throughout their undefeated season – helping to lead his team from no wins last year to being undefeated and the 6U City Champions. And yes, he scored the winning touchdown!

Great, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
It has definitely not been a smooth road. We have had to deal with a lot of backlashes, negativity, and hate from people we had to work with to accomplish the ultimate goal.

Please tell us about your business.
Because of Laytin Tailor’s phenomenal first season as a football player, we’ve been working hard on his brand. We already had a line of T-shirts and hats with his brand name – Laytin Tailor and have designed a line of custom shoes as well. But our main focus has been on getting his name out there, getting his followers up and allowing others to follow our journey. We want to inspire others by letting them see what can be accomplished with hard work and determination. Our father-son bond has grown tremendously and our business will tell that story as well.

Do you look back particularly fondly on any memories from childhood?
Making the honor roll and getting $2.00 from the Boy Scouts. Growing up with my family too.
