Meet Nailah Glass of BouSHE Hair

Today we’d like to introduce you to Nailah Glass.

Nailah, please share your story with us. How did you get to where you are today?
I have always had a love for hair and protective styling. I’ve been the go to girl in school for hair questions and quick hairstyling in my free time. As I got older, I continued to use my gift as a side hustle. I decided to take my passion to the next level by founding BouSHE Hair in 2018.

At the time, I was just a few months pregnant and struggling with morning sickness, fatigue, and all the emotional phases of becoming a first time mom. Hair has always been a self-esteem booster for me, but I simply did not have the energy or willpower to keep up with my hair. While protective styles are easy to maintain, they can be very time consuming to initially install. So I created BouSHE Hair with women in mind that want to look and feel beautiful, conveniently.

We’re always bombarded by how great it is to pursue your passion, etc – but we’ve spoken with enough people to know that it’s not always easy. Overall, would you say things have been easy for you?
Whew, as I mentioned, I started my company during pregnancy. I am now operating with a one-year-old boy. Needless to say, it has been far from smooth lol. This has been a very emotional journey for me. Because my pregnancy was “high-risk”, I had lots of doctors appointments. All while trying to secure vendors, building my website, working on branding, and creating content. I struggled to keep momentum.

We’d love to hear more about your business.
We help women slay effortlessly with our signature tailored closure wig units. We provide high-quality extensions and create units in mind for the busy woman, moms, and anyone simply looking for a low maintenance, protective style. We want you to look and feel beautiful, conveniently. We believe beauty plus convenience should be a thing!

What were you like growing up?
I am so blessed and grateful to have an amazing, supportive family, fiancé, and group of friends. They are always sharing my content, without me asking. Supporting my business financially, sending referrals, and checking on me when they sense I am unmotivated. I don’t take their support for granted at all.
