Meet Jasmine Fox of Credit Benders in Metro Atlanta

Today we’d like to introduce you to Jasmine Fox.

Jasmine, before we jump into specific questions about the business, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
I began my journey into financial literacy a years ago. First learning real estate and then I became a licensed life insurance agent. Which open my eyes to a financial dilemma. So many people were uneducated in their finances, their credit, home buying programs, and funding that they qualify for. Many people don’t have the financial foundation to make the right decisions when it comes to certain choices.

People often learn from their “mistakes” but in finances, those “mistakes” could hold you back for years. So when I took it upon myself to dig deeper. I started reading books and going to seminars to learn and understand credit and how I could use it to my advantage. Once I started helping myself and those around me I knew there would be a market for it.

Has it been a smooth road?
Owning a business is not hard. Owning a reputable, profitable business is the hard part. There are a lot of pieces to the puzzle. A lot of trial and error to get the correct strategy. Most of all it’s the time that has to be put in and finding that work-life balance. Finding time to put your business first can certainly be difficult in the beginning. Once you start to be persistent with putting the work in and continuously learning in your industry to become a master, it gets a lot easier.

So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Credit Benders story. Tell us more about the business.
My company Credit Benders is a debt management company that serves as an intermediary between the client and the creditor or credit bureau. I also include credit counseling and proper financial planning such as professional tax preparation services and developing a life insurance plan. I am most proud of the results I get.

From my clients. When I turn that client into a home buyer I am ecstatic for them. What sets us apart from others is that we walk our clients through the process and their goals. We connect the dots for them by removing the negatives of their report and adding positive and then setting them up to get the funding they want and meeting their desired goals.

How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
How people manage their credit and their finances will always always be very important. I think people will become even more educated on it and hopefully feel more comfortable discussing it.
