Who doesn’t love kids and pets!?! It was my two little sisters that made me start up this business. I would babysit them giving my parents a break for once in a while. Then that made me realize everyone needs a break.
So, I made this company for whoever needs a break. Not only we watch your kids and pets, we house sit as well. Our sitters are trustworthy, dependable and affordable. I started this business back in 2017 not knowing how to be a business owner, but having good mentors around you and having God by your side, my business is growing and standing strong.
Has it been a smooth road?
Every business have it’s challenges. Yes, I had a few. From hiring the right sitters to dealing with customers. But, you learn from it and don’t make the same mistake again and move on.
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Sitters That Care story. Tell us more about the business.
Sitters that care is a sitting company that cares for your kids, pets and home. We offer hourly and overnight stay services. Our sitters are highly experienced, American Red Cross Certified and Background Check verified. Our mission is committed to giving the highest level of customer services by understanding what matters most to the client. We promise to provide safe, affordable and dependable sitting services to families and to take care of what they cherish most.
What set us apart from other sitting company? Once you hire us, you hire another family member. We don’t look at this as “just a job”. We enjoying working with kids and pets. We do play outings for the kids, take them out to have fun. The kids is not always going to be in the house (unless it’s a late-night babysit, then yes we are in the house) Same for the pets, if you have a dog, we go to the dog park. We are not your average babysitter where we just sit in the house and watch your child. I am proud of this company, how it has grown and how the sitters really enjoy working.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
I am looking to add a portion where we help with the elderly. Maybe in the next five years adding that service. I am starting to see a lot of individuals who need help taking care of their parents or grandparents.
Pricing:
- 1 child- $15 per hour. 2 child- $20 per hour, 3 or more $30 per hour
- up to 2 pets- $14 per hour. Over night $40 per night
- Overnight stay $160
