Today we’d like to introduce you to Tarvoria.
Tarvoria, before we jump into specific questions, why don’t you give us some details about you and your story.
Coming up in the music industry as a recording artist/songwriter I was sold a lot of dreams. I found myself frustrated with false hope and broken promises. This hurt allowed me to understand and accept my purpose and passion not only for music but for helping others believe in themselves.
That being said, The Dream makerz foundation 501 (c)(3) was established 2017 with a holistic approach as a workforce training center to cultivate the dreams of at-risk 16-24 interested in learning how to work behind the scenes in the entertainment industry.
Has it been a smooth road?
Oh no, nothing great comes easy! When we first started the Dream makerz foundation originally we were we’re going to start with our transitional housing sector.
After an entire year planning looking at properties we ran into a roadblock financially. Therefore, we had to shift our direction. Although transitional housing unit and workforce training center would work hand-in-hand. We collectively decided work on the training center first to launch our programs. Here we are 2 years later building out our own facility, blessed to have dedicated growing team as well as running one of our programs “The Drone Academy” with our partners RTAN.
So, as you know, we’re impressed with Dream Makerz Foundation – tell our readers more, for example what you’re most proud of and what sets you apart from others.
What I am most proud of about the Dream Makerz Foundation is that we have been able to move collectively throughout our community. We’re blessed to establish strong relationships and partnerships with other organizations to help us in the betterment of our youth. We focus strongly on technology and entertainment to create programs that are exciting for 20th-century job industry.
We feel it is important to provide programs that maintain their focus, keep them consistent and excited about learning.
Let’s touch on your thoughts about our city – what do you like the most and least?
Born and raised in Miami Florida, However what I love about Atlanta is the opportunities are unlimited. I’ve live on the Southside of Atlanta now going on ten years and I love Clayton County! I’ve been able to establish a strong clientele base through my barbering which has funded all of my goals. Barbering has allowed me to grow and network with people from all walks of life & different industries.
