Today we’d like to introduce you to Ashley Dallas.
Ashley, can you briefly walk us through your story – how you started and how you got to where you are today.
I’ve been planning events about for ten yrs now. I got into it because I love seeing people enjoy life, having a good time. I started out planning big birthday parties for myself. People would ask if I mind helping with theirs which later pushed me into planning weddings. I’m now planning and decorating birthday parties, weddings, baby/bridal showers, conferences, launches, etc. Last year was when I said it’s time I made a business out of what I love. I did just that! I stepped out of fear into faith and begin Ashtraordinary Events LLC. Event planning has always been “my thing” until I learned it was my purpose. In planning events, it’s not just setting tables or making flower arrangements, but it’s bringing joy to others through events.
Seeing someone smile because I displayed the vision they saw is the greatest thank you in this business. I birthed Ashtraordinary through a movement I begin called 3G. Go, Grow, Glow! 3G wants you to go after this dreams and visions. 3G wants you to win! 3G wants you to go for it because going for it is a win.
Challenging others to be their best and to go for it motivated me to GET my best. And my best was my future! It made me realize I can have whatever I desire if I can vision it. I envisioned Ashtraordinary Events. It unfolded right before my eyes. My vision manifested and all the Glory belongs to God. I’ve now been in business a little over a year. I am growing ground up and thankful for every brick I’ve laid. Thanks to those that have passed me the bricks to help build. The vision has begun and so shall it continue.

Has it been a smooth road?
It’s been smooth for the most part. My struggle is marketing, gaining the clientele to keep me busy year-round. My biggest struggle has been my own personal thoughts, having days you feel business isn’t picking up, then boom God surprises with more business. So all in all, I’d say it’s a smooth struggle. Nothing I can’t handle!
So let’s switch gears a bit and go into the Ashtraordinary Events story. Tell us more about the business.
I specialize in birthday parties, weddings, and baby showers. I’m known for birthday parties. I’ve very proud of how far Ashtraordinary has come. I have more and more people inquiring which means Ashtraordinary is being mentioned. My attention to detail sets me apart. The small things are just as important as the big. It should all be Ashtraordinary.
How do you think the industry will change over the next decade?
The event planning business is growing. More people are starting to have events that need decorating. In 5-10 yrs I see amazing clientele being added and I also see an Ashtraordinary Events Venue. I won’t have to outsourcing any longer. I must say I have an Ashtraordinary future ahead.
